Accelerating Fundraising

We saw the massive valuation (and acquisition) of WhatsApp last year, leaving folks near and far of the Valley wondering what’s next. While Slack may be a new approach to work communication with the omnipresence of #’s and @’s, I’m left wondering at what point these gargantuan valuations and approaches to fundraising prove to be just too high.

To put it another way, if Slack had the same annual revenues as LinkedIn at $1.5 billion in 2013, it would be valued at almost $140 billion and become one of the most valuable technology companies in the world.

But for now, we’ll keep using these new technologies, wondering what’s next…
